Three Weeks In and Loving This Community!
We’re thrilled to celebrate three amazing weeks since opening The Commons on Portland! The support from this incredible community has been fantastic, and we’re truly finding our groove.
Lunch has been a little quieter so far but will soon grow, so if you’re looking for a great time to join us with friends and family in a relaxed atmosphere, lunch is the perfect opportunity. We open daily at 11:30 AM and offer a beautiful menu featuring fresh salads, delicious sandwiches, light seafood, and a hearty soup made fresh daily.
We don’t take reservations, but with a seating capacity of 100, you won’t need them! So far, our peak hours have been Friday and Saturday between 5:00 and 7:00 PM, so if you prefer a more laid-back dining experience, lunchtime is ideal.

Our team has quickly become a powerhouse of skill and hospitality, bringing the vision of great food and a welcoming atmosphere to your tables every day. Seeing old friends, making new ones, and sharing incredible meals together has been the greatest reward of all.
A few early favourites have already emerged! The Brown Butter Haddock has been stealing the show, while the Crispy Chicken Club and Braised Beef Sandwich are in a tight race for second place. Meanwhile, La Delfina Pinot Grigio has become a go-to pairing for our seafood dishes, adding just the right crisp, refreshing touch to your dining experience.
We also wanted to share an important update: we aren’t taking reservations at this time, but we have a great new online waitlist system that ensures everyone is seated quickly and fairly. It’s been working beautifully, keeping things flowing smoothly so you can enjoy your time with us without the stress of long waits.
