Fall has arrived at The Commons, and we’re bringing it in with some seriously delicious new features.
For a limited time only, we’re serving up four new dishes that are made for crisp afternoons, cozy dinners, and settling into your favourite table with good food and good company.
Our BBQ Chicken Flatbread starts with a crispy flatbread spread with roasted garlic béchamel and melted mixed cheese, then gets loaded with grilled chicken, red onion, candied jalapeños and fresh arugula before being finished with a drizzle of BBQ sauce. It’s smoky, creamy, sweet, spicy and crunchy all at once.
The Asian Peanut Noodle Salad brings a completely different kind of crave. Sweet potato rice noodles are tossed in our house-made peanut sauce with grilled chicken, shredded carrots, red peppers, green onions and candied jalapeños, then finished with crispy wonton strips and sesame seeds. Fresh, savoury, crunchy and packed with flavour.
Then there’s our Butter Chicken Mac & Cheese. Tender chicken and cavatappi noodles are smothered in a creamy, spiced butter chicken sauce and melted cheese, finished with Grana Padano and toasted bread crumbs, and served with garlic toast. Basically, two comfort-food favourites decided to become best friends.
And dessert? Meet our house-made Creamsicle Tart.
This one is pure nostalgia in the very best way. A buttery tart shell filled with a creamy orange-vanilla filling made with melted white chocolate and real oranges, topped with whipped cream and bright orange zest. One bite and you might just be eight years old again, chasing the ice cream truck down the street. Only this time, there’s no melting popsicle in your hand.
